Fiddlin’ – The Movie

Old Time Music was born in the Appalachian Mountains over 200 years ago,

paving the way for Bluegrass, Country and Rock & Roll.

Fiddlin’ celebrates the 80th anniversary of the world’s oldest fiddler’s convention.

After watching this trailer, I just had to see this movie, so I purchased it on Amazon for $9.99. It can also be rented for just $4.99.

Fiddlin’ is a foot-stomping celebration of true Americana and artistic expression. This hopeful, inspiring Old-Time/ Bluegrass music documentary shines a light on what is best about America. Filmed in the Appalachian Mountains at the World’s Oldest Fiddler’s Convention, Fiddlin’ shows the uplifting and healing power of music. With multi-generations jamming together and kids holding instruments instead of phones, it feels like taking a step back in time as we witness some off-the-charts pickin’ and fiddlin’.

What a fun movie this is! Folks getting together to have fun and play or hear some of the best fiddlin’ in the world.

I was just on their Facebook site:

Looks like right now, the only place to get it is Amazon or Apple TV, but both just stream it.

They do say: “DVD is coming-will post the date as soon as possible!!!”

It has great music! I have another one I want to watch called “Why Old Time?” With this darn trigger finger acting up, I’m doing more watching and listening than playing. Don’t get old, Gunnar! 😮
