Annie Laurie

Annie Laurie is a beautiful tune written by Lady Jane Scott in the early 19th century to which the words of a 17th-century Scottish poet, William Douglas, were set to about his romance with Annie Laurie. It was played by soldiers on both sides during the Civil War, and remains popular with fiddlers in the Pacific Northwest.
