I just found a great site on you tube called Bluegrass Backing Tracks. It's free and they have dozens of bluegrass tracks that you can play along with. It's just like having your own back up band. They have a lot of the favorite bluegrass fiddle and Irish tunes. I have been "Trying" to play along with Old Joe Clark and Bury Me Beneath The Weeping Willow. You can even request your own songs you would like to play. They just play the back up music. You play the lead!  Check it out!

Great find! I also like that you can change the tempo. I added this link to the Fiddle Links here on FFOF.

you're right! You can speed it up or slow it down! There are also tracks where they just play like the key of G or whatever and you can improvise and play whatever you want!

It is too early for Christmas, but in order to know a few Christmas songs to be able to play for my family, I have to start practicing them now. I have just posted God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, my favorite Christmas carol, to the Fiddle Tune Tabs section. You can find it at: http://fiddlingforolderfolks.com/fiddle-tune-tabs/holiday/god-rest-ye-merry-gentlemen/

Just posted Joy to the World in the Fiddle Tune Tabs section, a second tune I am practicing for Christmas. It is very easy to learn. https://fiddlingforolderfolks.com/fiddle-tune-tabs/holiday/joy-to-the-world/

Tomorrow, or the next day, I'll post Jingle Bells.

Thanks for those Christmas songs, jim. Makes life easier rather then trying to read the music. (P.S. Don't tell me teacher! 😧 )

Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

My pleasure, Norma. And, don't worry; you're secret is safe with me. 😎

I just added another Christmas song this afternoon...Hark The Herald Angels Sing.

It is available at https://fiddlingforolderfolks.com/fiddle-tune-tabs/holiday/hark-the-herald-angels-sing/

I just finished writing up the tab version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I did something a bit different this time, I added the words. If you find this helps, let me know, and I will go back and start adding words to the other Fiddle Tune Tabs. You can find this song and download the tabs at https://fiddlingforolderfolks.com/fiddle-tune-tabs/holiday/rudolph-the-red-nosed-reindeer/

Just added Hard Times Come Again No More to the Early American section in the Fiddle Tune Tabs section. This is a very easy song to learn and a classic.

Hard Times Come Again No More is an American parlor song written by Stephen Foster. Published in 1854, it was widely known and popular in its day. The song asks the fortunate to consider the plight of the less fortunate.

I have always liked this song. I love the one with YoYo Ma, and the last one with that quartet playing it.

Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.
